Demonstrating change over time is a frequent challenge in the courtroom. Whenever appropriate a graphic or illustration should be made dynamic, so that it can change from one state to another before the jurors' eyes.

There are several ways to make a graphic dynamic, all of which are within Artists-at-Law's capabilities. At the high-tech/high-cost end is 3D animation, but we also provide 2D animation in Flash format. There are even lower-cost solutions to making a graphic change in real time: Story boards, magnetics, peeloffs, writing directly on the board, changeable pie charts and overlays.

Magnetic pieces can be used in almost any kind of exhibit--as events on timelines, as moving parts in a technical illustration, as cars on an accident diagram, or as changing positions on an organization chart, to name a few.

A second interactive low-tech solution is the peeloff, a bare piece of background material that covers text or illustration until it is discussed in testimony. This enables the speaker to control the attention of the jurors, since the entire board is revealed step-by-step.
