Often in business and employment cases the decision making process within an organization is an issue. Where it is important to establish, for example, the responsibility for a critical decision, an organization chart is essential. The same may be said for demonstrating changing positions or personnel within an organization. Magnetic pieces are particularly useful in showing how, e.g., employees were laid off during a downsizing, or how the chain of command changed after a reorganization. Rather than presenting two charts--a "before" and an "after"--it is often more attention-holding to work with magnetic pieces that represent divisions, positions or individual employees, so that changes in the organization are demonstrated before the jurors' eyes, in real time.
