Technical illustrations are most commonly used in intellectual property and product liability cases where photography is not feasible. These exhibits show how a machine is made, how it appears inside, how it works, or what it would look like if its blueprints were translated into a product, even if, as is often the case in some intellectual property cases, nothing has yet been manufactured.

As with many types of litigation graphics, dynamism is important in demonstrating the mechanisms of moving parts, electrical circuitry, manufacturing processes or chemical changes.

Artists-at-Law offer high-tech and low-tech solutions to meet these needs—animations, magnetics, overlays, story boards, and peeloffs.
